Serbia's Anger over Kosovo's Declaration of Independence leads to Massive Demonstrations and an Attack
on the U.S. Embassy.

Serban Protesters set Fire to an American Flag. The Crowd directed much of its Anger towards the
United States, for its support of Kosovo's Claim of Independence.

The Day's Events began with a massive Rally in Central Belgrade that attracted Thousands of Serbian
Protesters.

Many Protesters carried Images of Radovan Karadzic, A Bosnian Serb Leader who has been indicted for
War Crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal in the Hague. He is presently a Fugitive.

Observers estimated the Number of Protesters to be Several Hundred Thousand.

A Small Number of Protesters broke off from the Main Rally and headed to the U.S. Embassy.

suggested that the Demonstrations today could be the Harbinger of a more Serious Confrontation.
